Call for papers EAA 2024: Tracking the Urban DNA

The EAA’s annual congress, this year in Rome, will also host another session of the EAA Urban Archaeology Community. In it, we will look for the Urban DNA. 
Every change in cities leaves traces. How do these manifest themselves and how do we find them? How can we distinguish between them? How can we preserve these remains and make them visible? And how does this determine the city of today?

It is possible to submit an abstract until 8 February 2024.

 We are the EAA Community for Urban Archaeology. We exchange ideas, experiences, research, knowledge etc. all to improve archaeological research and heritage management in (highly dynamic) urban centres. We are part of the European Association of Archaeologists, but don’t represent the EAA as a whole.
